2021.11.29 01:55 Deliflowers [Event] Granaryposting

Lord Arundel, lord of the Barryroe, has come to Cill Briotain to discuss matters of next years harvest. The Barryroe, and that of all east carbery, was fertile and good for planting grain. The harvest of this year was bountiful, though Lord Arundel made mention of issues with storage. The existing granary is generations old, built when there were less fields to plough. It was always packed to the brim each autumn, and this year especially so. Lord Arundel struggled to find space for the extra grain. As well, there is no timely way to offload the extra grain with a good amount spoiling before being sold to merchants.
After some discussion and negotiation, Prince Finghin and Lord Arundel came to an agreement. A new granary will be constructed for Lord Arundel at the village of North Ring. The granary will stand alongside the village's small bayshore, which is itself apart of the larger Muir Cheilteach. The granary will act as both storage as well as a pier for small boats to carry grain to larger ships. The site will be built on land reclaimed from the sea, filled and reinforced with stone and filler. The labour costs will be from local villages, with an architect hired by the prince to oversee construction.
Labour(from nearby villages)- 2,500 florins Materials and Site Preparation(locally sourced to ease costs)- 15,000 florins Architect(No half-ass, the prince wants a good architect. Maybe a foreigner or and educated Gael)- 3,500 florins
The total cost of the project currently is around 23,000 florins . the Prince is prepared to spend more, but a lump sum is prepared to be spent upon the project already. The project is expected to take time, but hopefully be done before the 1505 harvest, ideally during 1504 harvest if weather permits and the workers are expedient.
(The Arundel Grain Store is a historical granary built in North Ring's shallow bay built around this time. Idk how much it would historically cost to build it, maybe im underestimating it.)

2021.11.29 01:55 HighEnergyAlt Treasury of the Eye of True Teaching #360: Studying Dead Words

Master Deshan Yuanming said to an assembly,
Just study the living word, don't study the dead word. If you understand from the living word, you'll never be bogged down in doubt. "Each atom is a Buddha land, each leaf is a Buddha" - these are dead words. Raising the eyebrows, blinking the eyes, raising a finger, standing up a whisk - these are dead words. "Mountains, rivers, and earth have no further mistake" - these are dead words.
A monk then asked, "What is the living word?"
He said "A Parsi looks up."
The monk said, "Then I'm not mistaken."
Yuanming thereupon hit him.

2021.11.29 01:55 ModishAndElegantPony I know Jinx Jungle will most likely never be a thing, but as a hypothetical what do you think Jinx would need to be a viable jungler even at high ELO?

I'm a fiarly newish jungle main who has been playing ADC a lot because I love playing Jinx, but I know Jinx's jungle early game is bad (from experience) and I'm curious what buff would be necessary for Jinx jungle to even be viable at medium to high elo.

2021.11.29 01:55 Lettuce-Chat 31 [M] Dallas TX - Married Asian guy looking to date

What's up? So I'm married, but I got the okay from my wife to explore the dating field. My wife and I am in a poly/open marriage and she's been encouraging me to date/have relationships with other girls. She and I date separately. I'm pretty much up for a FWB, short-term, or long-term relationship.
So a little bit about me, I'm pretty chill and I live life at a decent pace. I'm into creative things, so my hobbies tend to be art-related. As far as my hobbies/interests go, I like to draw, read, and play video games. Lately I've been mostly developing my own video game.
If you like intellectual conversations, corny jokes, and cuddle sessions, I can provide those things and more.
Here's me for reference: https://postimg.cc/DSrCkJBG https://postimg.cc/HjF3r4N5
As far as what kind of girl I like, I hope I'm not that picky. If you have a cute face, don't resemble the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man or Michelin Man or Shrek, generally healthy, don't do drugs/smoke, and you have a chill personality, then we'll definitely get along.
So if you're in the DFW area, let's chat for a bit. If you're not, that's fine too. I'm open to LDR (USA only), but I ask for reciprocity, openness, and somewhat daily communication if this is going to work. If you're genuinely interested, feel free to send me a DM. I highly appreciate it when you reply with a few pics of you.

2021.11.29 01:55 gidde83315 2018 YZ250 not starting after sitting for over a year. Please help!

I have a pretty much brand new 2018 YZ250. It only has 11 hours on the bike. I did an oil change on the bike at 5 hours and 10 hours. This bike has never been raced or dropped.
I haven’t been able to ride at all and it’s just been sitting in my garage. It has not been started for about 16-18 months.
I went to try and start the bike yesterday and I can’t get it to start. It doesn’t even give a hint of starting.
I bought a new spark plug. I checked the spark plug while I kick start, and I see spark.
I thought maybe it was the extremely old gas. So I emptied the old gas from the tank and filled with new gas. I even ran new gas through the old lines first…to get all the old gas out.
I took out the injector thinking it was clogged. I sprayed the injector with cleaner and hooked up a battery to preform a quick test. The injector works and the pressure from the spray can clearly shows that the injector is not clogged and working properly.
I even tested the fuel pump on the tank. I hooked up a small battery and it comes on and is working properly.
I checked my K&N air filter to see if it was clogged, but I verified it’s clean and brand new and not the issue.
I’m not sure what to do next. The very last thing I tried tonight was to see if my old spark plug worked…it did. The only thing I noticed is when I do a medium effort kick start…no spark. But when I give it a good hard kick…I get spark. Not sure if that means anything.
Idk…I have a brand new bike and just frustrated that I can’t get it to start. Any help would be much appreciate. Thank you!!

2021.11.29 01:55 SplitEXT97 Texas DFPS took custody of my child. Will I receive him back…?

A week ago we brought my son into a hospital because he had fallen off the bed. After doing a CT scan they said they found an older injury about 2-4 weeks old. Because we could not think of how he may have gotten the injury DFPS took custody of him until they can find a suitable home for him to stay in out of a group of names we provided. Me and my wife are scared cause we would never hit our child or hurt him… but idk what to do and idk how to approach this. Our hearing is in 2 weeks. There are no other signs of abuse from what we’ve been told and even hospital staff said he was fine medically…. I just want my son back… we don’t know if we are doing the right thing. My case worker hasn’t followed up on her 24hr check up on him… please someone help give us piece of mind…

2021.11.29 01:55 cableguy316 How long a run of LED extension cable is viable?

I might have a run where a Dig-Uno is connected to around 25' of LED extension cable (MaxBrite, 18g from Amazon) with JST connections soldered to both ends before it hits the first 12V pixel. It works, but it's flickery. Right now it's just going to 30 pixels.
Is this something power injection will fix, or do I need to have some sort of signal strengthening in the middle? Is there a rule of thumb about how far you can run extension before it starts to degrade the signal? I have another run that has about ten feet of extension cable before the first pixel and it works perfectly for a run of over 300 pixels.

2021.11.29 01:55 ElliotPatronkus Alternate Forms of the Favoured of Chaos

As I know, the most favoured of chaos typically take 3 forms. Greater Demons, Daemon Princes and Daemon Primarchs. Greater Daemons are the daemonic chosen of the chaos gods blessed with their power, Daemon Princes are those who have garnered the favour of their patron chaos god and ascended henceforth, Daemon Primarchs are similar to Daemon Princes, beings from real space who garnered favour of their chaos god. Past the typical, greater daemon or mortal who has been blessed by chaos what other, more unique forms are there of powerful heralds of the ruinous power.
First that comes to mind is Be'lakor who is unique in that he is of chaos undivided but bears no real resemblance to any greater daemon yet retains power comparable to one. IIRC there was a tzeentchian daemon who was more of a eldritch cthulu worm/tentacle monsters rather than the typical lord of change but was still similarly blessed by the changer of ways.
What other forms do the favoured of chaos take and is there a reason they differ?

2021.11.29 01:55 JPDG WOTR Single-Class Build Series: We Be Shaman (Camellia Respec)

WOTR Single-Class Build Series: We Be Shaman (Camellia Respec) TL;DR: Hey folks, here's a SCBS for Camellia, keeping her same class and subclass. Instead of tanking, this build makes her a deadly ranged-damage dealer and exceptional support character. The Respec Mod is required to change her initial feat and background (or you can use Toybox). This build is viable from start to finish.

***SPOILER WARNING: This post contains item spoilers***

Camellia, you absolute psychopath.
You frustrate me as a tank with your mediocre hit points and average BAB. You have a minimal amount of feats. You stroll into combat late, rarely getting off a full round of attacks. For being such a homicidal maniac, I expected so much more from you.
So, I came up with this build for Camellia after trying about half-a-dozen tank builds that all proved passable, but lackluster. I found she rarely got off her full round of attacks and was often caught flat-footed during the first round of combat. All that noble potential wasted with her silly rapier and buckler. Instead, I tried taking her out of the fray shoving a composite longbow into her hand. And I was well-pleased with the results.
This build focuses on...
  1. Full-round attacks with a high damage output (which decimates swarms).
  2. Single target and party-wide healing.
  3. A strong array of Hexes.
  4. Full casting progression with 9th level spells.
  5. Buffs, buffs, and more buffs!
  6. Maxed Trickery skill to disarm traps in and out of combat, along with high Perception that goes perfectly with her strong WIS score.
  7. Summons to distract enemies if necessary (Animate Dead, Summon Monster) or damaged-down insanely high AC enemies (Creeping Doom coupled with Seelah's Mark of Justice).

Level 10 Camellia using Hampering Hex to land 3 of 4 hits on bossman Darrazand.

For Starters
For our build, we'll need the Respec Mod to change Cammy's background and initial starting feat (or the Toybox Mod).
  • Background: Hunter. This gives her access to the longbow and short bow.
  • Starting Stats: I kept Camellia's original starting stats and gave +2 DEX for her racial bonus. For stat increases, I put +4 into DEX (for an unbuffed score of 24) and +1 into STR (for an unbuffed score of 12). If you're going Trickster Mythic, consider putting all stat bonuses into DEX.
  • Half-Elf Feat: Skill Focus (Trickery).
  • Skills (2 points per level): Trickery and Perception.
The main challenge during the prologue is that Thievery will no longer be a class skill. However, you'll very quickly pick up the Signet of House Vespertilio in Act I, which grants a + 5 Circumstance bonus on any skill check for an hour. This (and lockpicks) will tide you over until you pick up the Conman's Ring in Act II (+5 Competence bonus to Thievery and Perception). It's all downhill from there.
A level 7 Camellia with +31 to her Trickery Skill with no proficiency. We're good, fam.

We Be Shaman (Spirit Hunter, Ranged Attack Build)
  1. Point Blank Shot
  2. HEX: Healing
  3. Precise Shot
  4. HEX: Hampering Hex, +1 DEX
  5. Rapid Shot
  6. -
  7. Weapon Focus (Longbow)
  8. HEX: Battlemaster, Weapon Specialization (Longbow), +1 DEX
  9. Clustered Shot
  10. HEX: Fortune
  11. Manyshot
  12. HEX: Chant, +1 DEX
  13. Improved Critical (We'll need this for the Mythic Feat)
  14. -
  15. Deadly Aim
  16. HEX: Protective Luck, Greater Weapon Focus (Longbow), +1 DEX
  17. FEAT of Choice (see below)
  18. HEX of Choice (Evil Eye is a good choice)
  19. FEAT of Choice (see below)
  20. HEX of Choice, +1 STR
The crux of this build is exploiting the fact that so many enemies are resistant (or immune) to Cold, Fire, and Electricity. By regularly using our Spirit Enchantment with Elemental Barrage, we constantly trigger an insane amount of divine damage that only increases with your mythic levels. Stacking Bane Weapon and Divine Power adds even more fuel to the fire. You'll soon find Camellia out damaging Arueshalae (even though our lovely demoness often has an extra attack per round).

Final Feat Choices
  • Heightened Spell: This allows you a lot of flexibility with your spell slots (especially your Spirit Magic spell slots). It's very useful with spells like Restoration, Magic Vestmant, Fire Storm, or Heal. If you're into optimal buffing, this is for you.
  • Hammer the Gap: More damage!
  • Improved Initiative: Faster damage and brilliant with the Mythic feat.
  • Selective Channel: If you go Second Spirit (Life), this is always a winner for mass healing during combat. Cammy starts with a 13 CHA so we're good to go!
  • Improved Precise Shot: I normally run Mass True Seeing, so this feat is a bit redundant.

Level 14 Cammy peppering out 214 damage in a single round in the Midnight Fane. This is before acquiring Deadly Aim and does NOT include the Bane Weapon buff. A shame that Schir Brute had DR!

Mythic Progression
  1. MA: Cleaving Shot
  2. MF: Mythic Rapid Shot
  3. MA: Elemental Barrage
  4. MF: Mythic Improved Critical
  5. MA: Last Stand
  6. MF: Deadly Aim
  7. MA: Second Spirit (Life) or SS of choice
  8. MF: Mythic Weapon Focus
  9. MA: Distracting Shots (or Expose Vulnerability)
  10. MF: Mythic Weapon Specialization, Mythic Improved Initiative, or MA (Expose Vulnerability)

Thoughts on Mythic Feats and Abilities
  • All of my toons get Last Stand at Level 5. The Abyss is an absolutely deadly place and you'll often find a party member at zero HP during the first round of combat. Considering Cammy is my primary healer ( I don't run Daeran), Last Stand is a must.
  • At level 10, I'm uncertain what is more optional for damage output of the three mentioned. Improved Initiative is so strong to catch enemies flat-footed, but the other two are amazing damage bonuses in their own right. I'll probably stick with Mythic Weapon Specialization because of its reliability.
  • If you prefer Enduring Spells and Greater Enduring Spells, I recommend ditching Second Spirt and Distracting Shots (or just cheesing the abilities via Toybox).

Top Tier Second Spirt Options
  • Life: The extra Heal and Mass Heal go a long way in the final chapters or this game. Quick Healing (Swift Action to Channel or cast a Cure Spell) means that Camellia can get off a full round of attacks and heal the entire party in the same round).
  • Stone: The main reason to take this is for Metal Curse (-6 to an enemy's AC for 3 rounds with metal weapons at level 16). This Hex has no save, is not a mind-affecting ability, and is not subject to spell resistance). Although it will not affect her bow attacks, it is an amazing ability to support your melee-weapon party members (or axe throwers).
  • Nature: Need another animal companion to clutter up a dungeon? Why not take SS Nature?!

At the start of this boss fight, all enemies are out of range. A great time to buff our MC with a Fortune Hex. With this build, there's always an optional choice.

Typical Tactics in Turn-Based Time!
  • Round 0 (Surprise Round): Oftentimes, you'll only have either a 1) move action or 2) standard action when you're subject to a surprise round. If this is the case, start off with any of these options: Hampering Hex an enemy, or Fortune/Protective Luck for a party member. If there are a lot of mobs, Animate Dead can be a useful distinction. Or, cast Divine Power to give yourself an even higher BAB for tougher fights. Moving to an optimal position is always a good choice, especially if there's a trap that needs disarming.
  • Round 1: Almost always, you'll be using the first round of combat to use your Spirit Enhancement (swift action) and launching a full volley of arrows. Be prepared for lots of things to die.
  • Round 2: If needed, cast Bane Weapon (it stacks with Spirit Enhancement) during harder fights for even more attack and damage bonuses.
  • Round 3 and beyond: Play it by ear. Heal the party if needed or cast Hexes on enemies or allies depending on the situation. If everything is well, keep up the pew-pew and watch the bodies hit the floor.
Alright cupcakes, there we go. This is my first SCBS for WOTR. As always, any thoughts or feedback are welcome. It took me a while to warm up to the Shaman class, but I'm very pleased with this single-class build. It's strong from start to finish and fills so many roles.
